Judge's Comments:
Even if I hadn’t recognized the subject, this portrait would have called out to me. The dynamic pose and the confident way the medium was used are excellent. When you look closely, there is a lot going on with those pastels! I took this one off the wall (as I did others) to get a sense of how it “read”, and it really jumped out at me!
